A Note From the Queen

Tye and I just took our mid term for becoming a Nutritional Therapist. The test was on Digestion, Sugar Balancing, Fatty Acids, Minerals and Hydration. I feel I did really well! We receive our test results next month, and next month we will be learning about the Endocrine System. Ya know, Hormones! Energy! Adrenals! Pancreas! Thyroid! Ovaries! Mood swings! I think I might have to specialize in this subject.

I am still not eating sugar! yahoo! I know you're proud of me, I am proud of me too. There are times I want to eat sugar, trust me. I am afraid if I take one bite then I will fall down that long addictive mountain, maybe not that moment but eventually and I don't want to have to crawl all that way back up. I have fallen to many times before.

Classes

Tye and I taught the colon and nutrition class a couple of weeks ago, it went well. We will start teaching subjects pertaining to all the information we have learned in our nutritional class. Such as how to treat GERD (acid reflux) how to treat depression, chronic fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, stomach problems, digestive problems, hormonal problems, Cardiovascular problems and immune dysfunction. Wow!

"Five" Reasons Why You Should Drink More Water
Did you know that water is the most important nutrient in the body? Our bodies can go eight weeks or longer without food, but only days without water. Water makes up sixty percent of our body's mass, which equates to about tent to thirteen gallons of water inside us.
Here are some of the important things that water does:
* Carries oxygen and nutrients to cells.
* Cushions bones and joints absorbing shock.
* Regulates body temperature.
* Removes toxins and waste.
* Improves communications from cell to cell.

92% of our fluids must be ingested through the foods and water we drink. Not just any water will do, we need electrolytes for proper absorption. Electrolytes are minerals that become capable of conducting electricity when dissolved in water. They help water to be absorbed into cells, such as our brain for clear thinking, our lungs for good oxygen, and our muscles for movement.

Water is the most common nutritional deficiency in the American population. For one, we don't drink enough water, and we don't eat enough foods that have high water content, such as fruits and vegetables. Foods that are processed and cooked are dehydrating, including pizza, hamburgers, fast food, cooked foods, carbohydrate food, salty foods, and the worst are caffeine drinks, such as soda and coffee. When you consume an 8 oz cup of a caffeine drink, you need to consume 12 ounces more of water above and beyond your normal amount of water you should drink daily. Here is the equation for the amount of water you should consume daily. 1 quart for every 50 lbs of body weight. For example: if you weigh 120lbs, you should drink a little over 2 quarts of water daily. If you drink an 8oz cup
of a caffeine drink than you need to drink an additional 12 ounces of water, which is above and beyond the two quarts of water you normally would consume. Can you see why we are so dehydrated?
================================================================
Disgusting Facts About Soda:
The phosphoric acid in soda decreases the hydrochloric acid in your stomach, making it hard to digest your food. This could lead to GERD (reflux disease) where the sugar increases your insulin levels even if the soda is sugar free. Aspartame has at least 92 different side effects. Aspartame eventually changes to methanol, which converts to formaldehyde and formic acid. The caffeine wears out your adrenals. When adrenals are stimulated, cortazol level rises. Cortazol and insulin are appetite stimulants. That means you want to eat more! The tap water to make soda has many chemicals in it, which is very toxic to your liver and kidneys.

Have You Ever Asked Yourself Why Do I feel This Way?

The Results Are In!
If our body's water content drops by as little as 2%
this is what can happen:
* Fatigue.
* Anxiety.
* Irritability.
* Depression.
* Cravings.
* Cramps.
* Headaches.
Now The Real Truth
If we stay dehydrated for a long period of time you can experience
* Heartburn.
* Joint and Back Pain.
* Migraines.
* Fibromyalgia.
* Constipation.
* Colitis.
Losses of water greater than 10% will cause death. Being dehydrated is serious stuff.

Here is a simple test to see if you're dehydrated
1. Stand with hands by your side.
2. Check to see what your veins look like on your right hand.
3. Put your left hand, bent at your elbow, at your heart level, right across the nipple line.
4. Slowly raise your right hand level with your left hand.
5. Look at your vein to see if the veins have gotten flatter.

Scoring the results:
Excellent.
No change...the veins are the same, visually, as when they were at the side of your body,

Fair
The veins are reduced, but still clearly visible,

Poor
The veins are no longer visible.

We Have The Hydration Solutions:
* Do your research to find a good source of water.
* If you drink tap water, get a good filter.
* Drink 1 quart of water for every 50 lbs of body weight.
* Avoid diuretic beverages.
--Coffee.
--Caffeinated Teas.
--Soda.
--Alcoholic Beverages.
--Packaged fruit juices.
--Get adequate electrolytes,

P.S. You have probably noticed that when you drink alcohol. you are getting dehydrated, the brain produces a hormone, which tells the kidneys to hold on to water. When we drink alcohol, the hormones get messed up and tell the kidneys to dump more water than usual. This is why we get hangovers, because you're so dehydrated. What does this mean for you? If you must drink then please hydrate! After you drink one alcoholic beverage, then drink one glass of water.

A Fusion of Science And Nature "Cell Food"
Speaking of water and electrolytes, I must tell you about a new product our teacher told us about in class, it's called cell food.

The proprietary Cell food formulation, when mixed with water/ juice, has the unique ability to weaken the bond of water molecules, and release oxygen and hydrogen safely into the body for up to three days. As a complete mineral and nutritional supplement, Cell food, powerfully enhances nutritional biochemical activities, and brings to your body what modern living and technology are striping away.

What this means is; back in the 1700's, they knew the importance of crop rotation. They would plant a crop for a year or two then move the crop to another location because the crop took out to many minerals from the soil. Today they don't do that. Plants remove about 14 or more minerals from the soil and farmers only put back between three and four. Our soils are depleted, meaning we are not getting our minerals and electrolytes from the food we eat, which is why we need supplements.

Tye and I have been taking this product that gives you back what has been taken away. I have noticed more energy, and Tye feels like he is digesting better. Melanie has been in training for running a marathon and her legs were really cramping. after taking CellFood She said, "This stuff is Terrific! It stopped my cramping." That's because its delivering electrolytes and oxygen to the cells. The bottle sells for $25, you put 8 drops in 8 oz of water per day. Help Your System Stay In Top Condition
