Basketball season is over! Well, for my daughter's team anyway. Her being in the fifth grade, is the first year the teams actually kept score. The end of the season tournament was so exciting, she made three 3 point baskets in one game. She was the star and I was busting with pride and joy. We made it to the finals, came in second, which I am glad of ,because next year we are going to work that much harder to come in first place.
I have included two more sections in the newsletter, they are "Tidbits from the staff" and "Recipes." Since I'm not at work, actually doing colonics, as much I used to, instead I have been working harder than ever behind the scene building the structure of the business. As your getting to know my staff I wanted you to hear from them and receive their valuable knowledge. Just one more way in helping "people getting better."

Last Wednesday, when I was working, I bent down to pick up something and I instantly felt pain in my lower back. If you have experienced this, you know how the excruciating pain causes you to remain bent over with your hand on your back and moaning.
I went to the chiropractor that very day and I didn't get any relief.
Dawn called me later that night to see how I was doing and to tell me to take about 8 omega -3 fish oil from Standard Process and then the next morning take 8 more.
By the next day I will feel better. Wow, sure enough, the next day I felt 98% better.
I went to see the chiropractor again and he said, "Looks good, I'll see you in a month". Sweet! Taking omega-3 fish capsules is a whole lot cheaper than seeing my chiropractor twice a week.

Microwaves
When it comes to convenience, few devices can compare to the microwave. It's estimated that over 90% of homes in America have them. While I'm all about efficiency and saving time, I simply can't justify the time saved if the time saving device damages your health.
You know I wouldn't advise you to regularly eat at fast food restaurants, so why would I advise you to use fast cooking methods if it were to cause comparable health damage. But you've probably been told by experts that microwaves are safe, so ... Just What is Wrong With My Microwave?
If you are familiar with homeopathy you will instantly realize the problem. Microwaves heat your food by causing it to resonate at very high frequencies. While this can effectively heat your food it also causes a change in the chemical structure of the food that can lead to health problems.
Heating food can cause problems by itself, but when you heat it with a microwave, you have the additional problem of the creation of negative homeopathic frequencies that further devitalize your food.
This is one of the explanations for the following observations:
o1 o2 A study published in the November 2003 issue of The Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture found that broccoli "zapped" in the microwave with a little water lost up to 97 percent of the beneficial antioxidant chemicals it contains. By comparison, steamed broccoli lost 11 percent or fewer of its antioxidants.
o3 o4When microwaving, carcinogenic toxins could be leaked from your plastic and paper plates or covers and mix with your food.
o5 o6 The temperature of microwaved food can become extremely hot, at temperatures high enough to cause burns or steam buildup that could explode -- this is especially risky with baby bottles. Plus, microwaving can break down the essential disease-fighting ability of breast milk that protect your baby.
o7 o8 There is a 1991 lawsuit involving a woman who had hip surgery and died because the blood used in her blood transfusion was warmed in a microwave. Blood is routinely warmed before transfusions, but not by microwaves. The microwave altered the blood and it killed the woman.

Are you among the millions of people everyday exchanging your health for the convenience of microwave ovens? Before you use your microwave one more time, you might want to consider some facts:
The Nazis are credited with inventing the first microwaves. Known first as radiomissors, they were used for preparation of meals on a mass scale during the invasion of Russia -- thus eliminating the logistical problem of cooking fuels. After the war, the Russians had retrieved some of these microwave ovens and conducted thorough research on their biological effects. So alarmed by what they learned, the Russians banned microwave ovens in 1976.
By far the most compelling evidence supporting the dangers of microwaves comes from a highly regarded study done by Dr. Hans Hertel, a Swiss food scientist, who concluded that microwave cooking significantly altered food's nutrients -- so significantly that participants' blood changes suggested deterioration.
Not surprisingly, Dr. Hertel's study was met with great resistance from those with much to lose. After a gag order by a Swiss trade organization was removed, his study was finally published in 1992. Dr. Hertel's startling findings showed that microwave cooking resulted in:
o1 Increased cholesterol levels
o2 More leukocytes, or white blood cells, which can suggest poisoning
o3 Decreased numbers of red blood cells
o4 Production of radiolytic compounds (compounds unknown in nature)
o5 Decreased hemoglobin levels, which could indicate anemic tendencies

Spicy Santa Fe Quiche
I always have Pico del Gallo sauce around because we have tacos a lot at our house, so I thought rather than make an omelet I decide to make a quiche.
This recipe is quick and easy, it will take you about 15 min to put it together. While your crust is browning, beat up your eggs and the rest of the stuff, pour in the crust, then go help kids with the home work, do some laundry, clean up the house and then it's done. It's that simple.
Ingredients needed:
1 pie crust
8 eggs or 32 oz egg whites
1 container of Pico del Gallo
1 8-16 oz pepperjack cheese (or cheese of your choice)
1 small can of green chilies
1 small can of jalapenos (optional)
Heat Oven to 375
Bake empty pie crust until golden brown.
Mix eggs. Drain green chilies and jalapenos .Add all ingredients to eggs. Pour in pie crust. Cover with foil and place in oven. Bake 35-45 min. (based on oven)
Top with low fat yogurt and salsa
